MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Gas reserves in the European Union’s underground storage facilities are well below historic norms, leaving it in an uncharted territory, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said on Sunday. “Their gas reserves in underground storage facilities are at a historic low. How Europeans will get through the winter is a separate story,” Novak told Russian media. Europe’s underground gas storage levels were at 74.68% at the end of October, the lowest level seen since record-keeping began in 2011, according to Gas Infrastructure Europe data reviewed by Sputnik.WorldRunning on Empty?
